We have been pretty lucky to rent really cute vacation rentals.
Although I do spend a LOT of time looking at pictures of the rentals
before even reading the description to ensure a good fit for us.
I like to stay in homes that are our style.
Decorated in fun colors.
Crisp bedding.
Clean modern lines...but comfy.
So far, we have scored each time.
I always worry though how hard it will be to come home to our house
after staying in these cute vacation rentals in our dream town.
Last night we pulled up at 9:00 pm.
We had been gone for two full weeks.
I walked in and out of each room of our house
taking in the decor, the smells, the memories
and exclaimed when Dave walked through our door....
"I LIKE our house!"
He was a bit confused, but smiled and agreed with me.
It helped that we already had a San Clemente pillow on our master bed!
{bedding from West Elm}
{burlap pillow from Sweet B}

AND....if you are still here and reading my blog thank you for your patience.
I took a little {almost month long} break.
These sweet foster babies take up much of my heart and mind
and I can't blog much of what is going on.
It has paralyzed me a bit with sharing my heart
since it is so entwined in them right now.
But I'm hoping to get back into my blogging routine.
Thanks for hanging in there with me.
Dave says if you are still reading you deserve a giveaway.
I'll work on that!!

So glad to see you posting BUT you know what's best for your fam.

DeleteI missed ya!! Welcome home...well, Napa home. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kami! When you coming to Napa next?
DeleteHaha! We were just there two weekends ago. Isn't that always how it is? We come to Napa when you are out of town. One of these days you will find me on your doorstep!! ;)
Deleteawe it's nice to see a post, how fun that you got a little vacay...and don't you love that your home is what you all love (how sweet that your hubby said that!)....those babies are so lucky to have you guys:)))))
ReplyDeleteThanks, Melodee. We feel just as lucky!!
DeleteHome is sweet isn't it? So glad you spent some time enjoying all of your babies. :) They grow way too fast!
ReplyDeleteHi Rachel!! Little Mister is growing so so fast. I hate that. And actually Little Miss is staring to look and act like a two year old. HELP!
DeleteGlad to have you back. I like your house too. :) At least what I have seen in pictures. Welcome home!
ReplyDeleteThanks!! Just a little remodeling left to do and I will do a house tour on the blog.
DeleteI bet a whole slew of us are still here. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Katherine!! :) Your little comment made me smile.
DeleteWelcome HOME! Love the bedding! Looks super cozy to me! Family comes first girl! Don't worry one minute!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your love and support cutie!!
DeleteWelcome back! Love reading your blog!
ReplyDeleteQuestion: I recently moved in with my MIL and our taste in home decor is a million miles away from each other. I basically have the same clean, white, bright, sunshiny love taste that you do. She loves all things dark, brown, and early 90's. Any suggestions to bring the love together??
I actually really like the look of dark wood with white walls. Any chance you could suggest freshening up the walls with some white paint?! That would be a great start without getting rid of all her dark. Then start accenting with navy, turquoise, yellow and gray with that dark brown and white walls! Good luck.
DeleteYa, baby steps... Thanks
DeleteAlso, just a little (wink), I know at one time you were thinking about doing a craft camp of some kind if I remember correctly. With Fall soon approaching just wanted to let you know I am sure people would love to do some crafting!!! I know babies keep us busy. But crafting keeps us sane:)
Glad you are back, I love your blog! Vacations are nice but it is always nice to go back to the comfort of your own home.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Heather, for your sweet comment! Now I just need to find some motivation. You'd think I'd be all rested up but instead I'm hanging in relax mode!!
DeleteWelcome home and it's soo nice to have you back on your blog! Don't rush the motivation, it will appear out of nowhere at some point, enjoy time with the kiddos, the do really grow up way too fast!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are back have been checking in religiously, I understand the paralysis, hope everything is resolved happily soon!
