And somewhat absent here on our blog.
Blake is having surgery next Monday, May 14th.
We enter Shriner's hospital this coming Friday.
He will spend three days in the hospital prior to his surgery
for a major bowel clean out.
I'm grateful that will be inpatient!
I'm grateful that will be inpatient!
I plan on blogging about him that weekend
and go into more detail on the surgery
and what our new routine will be.
My nerves have gotten the best of me this past week and weekend.
I've been on the verge of tears but holding it together.
I know many of you asked if you could send Blake a card for his surgery.
I know that is something that he would really appreciate.
Every time I tell him that some else is praying for him,
he wants to make sure that they know how much he is thankful for that.
Truly thankful.
Here is our mailing address if you are interested:

There will be family coming to visit him all weekend and they would be
happy to bring him mail.

ReplyDeleteApril and Fam, we will be praying.
ReplyDeleteMay God hold you all close!
He's in our prayers. You all are.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs and heartfelt prayers are being sent your way April...you guys are such a sweet and special family. I'm sure Heavenly Father will continue to take care of Blake and carry him {and you and Dave} through this experience...I love this quote from Robert D. Hales talk, "Waiting Upon the Lord:Thy Will Be Done"...he says: "Every one of us is more beloved to the Lord than we can possibly understand or imagine...in my Gethsemane and yours--we are not alone. He that watches over us shall never slumber nor sleep. His angels here and beyond the veil are round about us to bear us up."
ReplyDeleteI have no doubt you have many loved ones {both near and far} watching over your dear family at this time my friend.
Blessings,
jennifer
Sending healing thoughts and love your way!!!!
