From the Heart....

There are two songs on the radio right now that touch me deeply.
For different reasons.

Adele's "Someone Like You"

When I sing Adele's song in my car,  my heart races.
I realize how lucky I am.I'm with the man I dreamed of.
I'm with the "Someone Like You"
not dreaming of someone elses man.
Not left with heartache
but filled with my man's love that I cherish.

The other song is "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry.

This one I have a hard time singing but love.
My throat tightens and I think of my brother.

A life cut too short. The sharp knife of that pain for us.
But there is one line in this song that I wait for.
That brings me comfort and makes me smile...

"And, I'll be wearing white when I come into your kingdom."

I know Jason is wearing white.
He was ready and I'm sure is working hard up there for the Lord.
I have no doubt!

  1. These are my two favorite songs right now as well. I have Adele on my iPod, and this song is on repeat. I sing it for my boys really loudly, and they laugh at me, and beg for more. I love it.
    Music can be so powerful!

  2. I had never heard the Band Perry. I'm definitely going to check them out. I, too, am with the man I was meant to be with. It's not an option. It's a must.

  5. Wow, i love these songs and am so happy you chose to talk about them! I have a very similar story that I think of when I hear "if i die young". It is almost uplifting knowing that there is so much more to look forward to even in such an unfortunate situation. Thanks for sharing :)

  6. These are two great songs! Thank you for sharing this! I'm struggling with posting something about my dad, it'll be 3 years next month. Still very much surreal. Thank you!

I heart comments! Just one rule that I'm sure your momma taught you...if you don't have anything nice to say...please don't say anything at all!
