Summer Vacation: QBM Summer Show & A Guest Post for a Good Cause.

Queen Bee Market Summer Show 2011 was a complete success while we were on vacation!
Held in San Diego, right on the water,
the actual market was once again off the charts.
I'm serious when I say it is a MUST SEE market!

The pictures speak for themselves.
The vendors are amazing and the quality of goods....the best!

My booth is starting to feel cluttered to me.
Watch for some changes at the next market!
Don't worry though....the doors are staying.

Our 11 x 14 prints of our Dear Dave + April....Work in Progress displayed.
Online sales starting soon. I promise!

And now for some amazing booths that had me in awe!

New vendor Smitten! Perfect word choice for this booth.
I was completely smitten. Wish I had a little girl or boy to decorate for!
But I did come home with a floor lamp from this booth for my family room.

We Love Citrus was another wonderful new vendor! I met Ana actually at the Unique LA fair where she was a vendor at the weekend before. We started chatting and Queen Bee Market came up and she said..."I'll be there!" I think we hugged each other at that point. We were so excited to be able to see each other again. She is so sweet and passionate about her business. She is infectious in the best way!

Another new vendor....Fairly Fabulous!
It was so fun to be booth neighbors.
I loved my time with Megan.
I came home with a little owl as a gift from Megan.
I love it sitting on my desk. It makes me smile as I think of her.

Me and Megan at the end of the show.
Please excuse my bad hair day and wrinkled shirt.
We were up at 4:30 am that morning and that was after only 1.5 hours of sleep!

Joyful Joyful was back for this show and it made me smile.
Courtney always makes me happy.
She is so stinkin' cute.
And look at those party hats!!

Domestic Nest is a husband + wife team that we love.
I purchased one of those leather valets for Dave as a thank you for all his hard work during the market.

Blue Corduroy is always a favorite and she got a lot of our money this market!
Kaia bought a beanie and a bag and I bought a crocheted covered mason jars to hold my pens on my desk.
I love my desk adorned with handmade objects from friends I love!

Lindsay from The Pleated Poppy is a girl after my own heart....
mixing fun fabrics in unexpected ways!
Her booth is full of all kinds of fabulous treats.
I had fun helping a friend pick out a posie pin for her purse!

Jess from Allora Handmade is one of the Queen Bees!
She came with a swoon worthy booth that her husband helped designed.
Let's just say that Dave and her husband, Clint, always find each other to chat up booth design during the markets!!

She is responsible for Rosette Fever!

Two more favorite people from Queen Bee Market....
Emmy from Much Ado About You!
The best personalized calendar/planners for us crafty girls.

and....

Marcie from RedStar Ink!
Marcie and I really connected at this market.
Let's just say I fell in love with Marcie and have a slight girl crush on her...
and her designs! Dave loves her style also.

Everything at The Queen Bee Market is cute.
[but the lighting is bad for photos...sorry for the yellow}

Even the checkout is cute!!

And last, but definitely not LEAST.
The fundraiser event that happened at the Summer Market.

Jeannett from Life Rearranged has a heart of gold.
Her blog is one of giving.
She hosted a canned food drive at the summer market
and it was successful beyond her dreams!

I met Jeannett at my very first Queen Bee Market.
I was unsure of everything at that time.
She was my biggest cheerleader.
She is everyones biggest cheerleader.

She is raising awareness on her blog for others.
This month she is focusing on Special Needs Families and Kiddos and raising money for
 the Free Wheelchair Mission.

She asked me to be a guest blogger over there today and I wrote a bit about what it is like to be a part of the special calling of being 'A Special Needs Family!'
I was honored and humbled.

Please go check out her heart of gold and my post HERE where I share a bit of my family's heart
and consider donating to a worthy cause.
We did!
She makes it easy.
She only asks for ONE DOLLAR or ten!
Whatever you can afford.

  10. I just read your guest post. You are simply amazing. Your whole family is. I have read your blog for a while now and I was aware of your sweet son's special needs, but my heart broke when I was reading about what happened at school. Praying that the children will react well when you educate them!

I heart comments! Just one rule that I'm sure your momma taught you...if you don't have anything nice to say...please don't say anything at all!
