The Queen Bee Market was filled to the brim with stylish women!
Lots of color and stripes. Lindsey from The Pleated Poppy and I showed up the first day in blue and white stripes and yellow shoes. No picture though. We were both too busy setting up our booths.
Megan {Flawed Perfection Jewelry}, Carli & Becki {Whippy Cake}, Me, and Nicole {Olive Blue} pose for a little photo shoot. I totally missed the stripe memo. I wore mine the day before!
Becki is the Queen of Posing. I asked her for a little help with the 'broken model' pose. Let's just say that we all had a good hard laugh! {sorry for the blurry photos....not sure about my camera right now :( }
By the way....I'm wearing my swimsuit cover-up as a top over skinny jeans and my anthro heels with one of my Lotus Drop Necklaces! And my broken pose still needs help.
Kelli & Stacey stopped me to say hi and introduce themselves. They were so cute and so sweet and we instantly hit it off. We talked about our Dear Dave + April Series, got teary-eyed and honestly I didn't want them to go. I hope to hang out with them again sometime in the near future! Again....HELLO stripes.
It was fun to meet in real life Kyla and Sarah. Kyla and I have been twitter friends for awhile and she rocks a Keep Calm & Carry On Ring in turquoise and is so sweet! Sarah was a vendor at the market. She owns Little Penelope Lane and she has a daughter who is 8 years old with Spina Bifida. We sat and chatted for a long time about cathing, poop and leg braces. What else would two Spina Bifida mommies talk about! And....they both rocked color and I missed the memo again.

Back home I wore my most favorite purchase from the market, a gorgeous turquoise bead necklace, and gave my best honorary 'broken pose' for Becki with blonder hair and curls!
Shirt {Antrhopologie, new}, Jeggings {Nordstrom}, Taupe Heels {Anthropologie}
This necklace was my Mother's Day gift to myself. Purchased from Cupcake at Queen Bee Market!
What did you get for Mother's Day?
And...are you wearing stripes these days...because they are all the rage!
P.S. I posted yesterday afternoon, finally, my booth display. It's here if you missed it.
P.S.S. Barefoot By the Sea did a little write up on FVL and is offering a little giveaway. Go check it out here! Jess is such a sweetie.

Man!!! This makes me miss you girls something fierce! Boo! I knew I needed "sexy kissy face" lessons from Becki. Now I need broken model lessons too? I'm so doomed.
ReplyDeleteI so wish I could have gone to this. I've been pouring over every photo I can find. And April!!! seriously. Your booth is amazing! I love it. So seriously cute.
And PS...Even if the stripes memo is sent, I will ignore. You see, I love stripes. But they make me look ginormous. And I have told my little sister, it is her official job in life to make sure I never try on stripes. :)
