Our Dear Dave + April series has changed us for the better. We were hoping it would inspire and help others also in enriching marriages. This last week our texts to each other went like this:
* * * * * *
Dave texted me: It was so nice to see you light up when I drove past your boot camp this morning and you saw me! That hasn't happened in a long time.
I wrote back: I'm so glad we saved our marriage!
* * * * * *
It has been amazing how many emails we have received that are so uplifting, encouraging and supportive regarding this series. We get many emails of how, with our honesty, we are inspiring others to be better partners and how their marriages are strengthened. It makes us smile.
One email in particular that was so touching, came from Kirstie from Bonhomie Jewelry. She is a jewelry designer and she sent me an email explaining that she has loved our Dear Dave + April Series and that one of her new designs was inspired by our series. Ours! I was giddy with excitement. She wanted to send me the inspired custom piece for me to wear around my neck plus she is letting me do the big debut!
I was so excited Monday when my mail came and I recognized the return address! I opened the package slowly with great anticipation.....
{then I read the note about the custom piece inspired by us and opened the box and was in awe. it is gorgeous! The Sweethearts Necklace.}
{and then I burst out crying and called Kirstie to thank her personally because an email wouldn't suffice.}
{and promptly put it around my neck to display it proudly for Dave when he got home and am still wearing it!}
Here is where the story gets sweeter. Kirstie has generously offered a $25 shop credit to her lovely shop to one of you!! Her designs have a real organic, rustic feel to them and are absolutely gorgeous. Her blog is sweet. She is sweet. Please go check out her shop. Show her some love. Follow her on twitter. Did I mention she does custom work for Alicia Keys?! Giveaway winner will be announced next Tuesday, March 29th. Three Four ways to enter.
