Labor Day Weekend = Tubing Down the American River.

We have a fun-filled long weekend planned. We bring our bicycles. I'll be ringing that cute ladybug bell an awful lot...I'm pretty sure of it. It also includes good food, great friends and lots of laziness. It might even include a trip to Pedro's Hill again. You never know!

Last night was the girls' Wicked night and the boys' Giants Baseball Game night to start our Labor Day festivities. Kaia, Grandma Toni and I headed to see Wicked. It was incredible. INCREDIBLE. Plus we got a free meal at CPK because the manager said we looked like nice people. Hmmm...talking about losing ourselves for the good of others. It felt great to be on the receiving end. And I have been doing my part this week on doing not just thinking about that.

Blake, Daddy, Papa Kennedy, Grandpa Mike and Uncle Rich went to (Blake's first) Giants Baseball game. Lincecum pitched and the Giants won! Blake said that I would like going to that ballgame because a waiter came and took orders for hot fudge sundaes and then came back and delivered them. That boy sure knows his momma!

Blake had his first rough day at school on Monday. He lost it emotionally saying good-bye. Wouldn't jump out of the car, begged me to park and stand in line with him and then stradled the classroom door and started screaming....then took off running. I tried hard to not cry. I didn't want to start this again this year. He had had such a great first couple of weeks. The only sweet part of the whole ordeal was when he was crying hysterically on the grass and asked if he could just go home and start the day all over.

So that's it for the week. I'm in vacation mode now and will be back next week with a giveaway I promised earlier (the little something I picked up at Kitson LA while on our vacation). It is little, but I thought it was so cute and a great idea...so I picked up two.

Happy Labor Day. Over and out.

  3. I hope you're having a wonderful time on your vacation. I'm trying hard NOT to labor Sunday or Monday but staying at home, but it's just not in me to sit here and do nothing on the weekends. Ugh.

Free meal? He must know what he was talking about. :)

I heart comments! Just one rule that I'm sure your momma taught you...if you don't have anything nice to say...please don't say anything at all!
