Our Family, The Beach + A Sunset.

Legoland + Me Watching the Tail-end of the Bachelorette.

I caught the last 10 minutes of the Bachelorette and then was able to watch After the Final Rose on my friend's TV with rabbit ears but wasn't up to re-capping.

I do have to say that I like the two of them (Ali + Roberto) together more than I ever have and I hope they ask Chris L. to be the next Bachelor.

We are hanging in there and receiving updates regularly on my brother. His condition is unchanged the last two days. Still on the same dose of morphine and pretty much sleeping most of the day. He is not in pain and I am so thankful for your prayers and support.

We are taking one day at a time here in San Clemente and have decided when his morphine dose increases and is needed more often then we will head home. We have cancelled our Disneyland trip that was planned for the last two days of our vacation.

While this has definitely put a damper on our spirits, we have still found things to laugh about and are enjoying our time together as a family. Like yesterday at Legoland, we all took turns sticking a sticker on each other's back without that person knowing. All day long! Then I looked for a stanger to stick it on. But I didn't have the guts.

And another funny saying that has become a new family favorite while we have been on vacation....instead of saying "Who farted?" we have been saying "Who's got the winds?"!

My brother would love that saying! I can just hear his deep belly laugh with pauses in between laughs and him repeating it and then using it over and over and over!

  1. What wonderful pictures of you and your beautiful family.

I also love the picture of you watching that teeny tiny tv, very retro April!

Thoughts and prayers and smiles for you these days. We are thinking of you.

  2. I like Ali and Roberto together as well. I don't know if I could handle Chris being the next bachelor, but the reasons sound silly in my head, so I won't actually voice them here. I'll just sound silly to everyone else, then. :)

I already see your next post...off to read.

My thoughts are with you and your family, April.

I heart comments! Just one rule that I'm sure your momma taught you...if you don't have anything nice to say...please don't say anything at all!
