Picture Window Sugar Eggs!

We followed Martha Stewart's Sugar Egg recipe and were successful!

We finished our eggs. Here are the pictures to prove it! Here is part one of this two part post!

All sanded and ready to go.

{we used 150 grit sandpaper for flat sides and edges}

A good 4 hours of work ahead of us.

So glad we decided to do a few picture window eggs.

Kaia's mad rose making skills with frosting.

She was determined and had only read some directions.

All decorated!

These will all be part of our Easter table decorations.

Can't wait.

Our dinner menu:

Ham

Cheesy Shredded Potatoes

Carrots

Asparagus Wrapped in Prosciutto

Homemade Dinner Rolls

Deviled Eggs

Pistachio Pudding Salad

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

+

Lemon Mandarin Cake with Pineapple Frosting

And...here is a picture of my kitchen right now....

the aftermath of sugar egg making.

Will be cleaning this all night.

{picture provided just so you really know I'm not as good as Martha!}

She would never have such a mess!

And yes, those are hot dogs on the corner of the kitchen island.

Blake is hungry!

I heart comments! Just one rule that I'm sure your momma taught you...if you don't have anything nice to say...please don't say anything at all!
