TWENTY TEN GOALS.

I'm keeping them short and sweet so that I can succeed!

1. Work on more consistent daily prayer and daily scripture study.

2. Drive slower and less aggressively so as to get better gas mileage and baby the older engine so it lasts longer.

3. Have Kaia help make one dinner a week.

4. Grocery shop more regularly so as to not find ourselves at a restaurant because there is nothing to eat in the house.

5. Start exercising again.

I never start my goals on 1/1....always a little before or a little later. I don't know what my aversion is to 1/1. I guess I feel like if I do it the cliche way, I might fail. I have yet to start goals 3, 4 and 5. Next week will be the week once the kids are back in school. Yes, that's right folks....our kids in the Napa Valley Unified School District are STILL on winter break and it's just about killing me!

What are your goals you have made for this new year? I'm curious.

  1. I have a lot of goals and resolutions, plans, etc. and my list might overwhelm you (it overwhelms me!), but I had to share this cool article, that teaches a different approach to new year's goals.

One of my words is "nourish." And I think I might choose "finish" or "listen" for another word. It's a great idea that I love!

  2. I have never in my 32 years set NY goals. Maybe if I did, I'd really try harder to DO the things I think about a lot.

I should let Till the 12 year old help me with dinner. Maybe I'll steal that goal of yours and apply it. Grocery shopping more is an ongoing process I try and work through.

I have unfortunately allowed myself to swear too much. I started curbing this at the end of last year, and am making it a focus from here on.

So...dinner prep with Till, grocery shopping, and less swearing. We'll start with these. :)

  3. My goals, though never said aloud until now, are to grocery shop, meal plan and cook meals for my husband and i to enjoy together. I'd also like to live frugal and not spend so much money. I miss my savings account cushion.

  4. Wanting to read a daily bible devotional. Keep the kitchen picked up all of the time (it's makes my hubby so happy) and work on getting healthy again.

  5. My goals are to lose the 20 lbs that I put on in the last 6 months of 2009 from quitting smoking. With that goes eating better and exercising. Pretty much I Want to be a healthy role model for my little girl. I heard her say the other day that she was "fat" (yeah at 3) and I realized that I am messing up big time! Time to get with it! Oh and I am totally with you- no starting on 1/1

I heart comments! Just one rule that I'm sure your momma taught you...if you don't have anything nice to say...please don't say anything at all!
