KAIA HAS HER FIRST OFFICIAL JOB TONIGHT.....

....and it is not taking orders for double cheeseburgers, fries and a shake. (She said 'that got old' while she was dressed as a 50's car hop for Halloween!) She has her first official babysitting job this evening from 5:30 to 7:30. Scheduled for a few days now. Written on her calendar! She is excited and loves feeling a little more grown-up with such a huge responsibility. And she takes that responsibility very seriously. She is silly, fun and can pretty much talk any child into doing what they need to be doing without that child realizing what she is doing. She is talented that way. She has had great practice with Blake and with Brielle's little ones while they were here visiting! She is going to do a great job. I have no doubts!

  2. Aaahhh. :) I started babysitting around 12 and 13 years old. Back in the day it felt so "normal" to be doing it, but looking back as a parent I'm SHOCKED that I was in charge of little people for such grand lengths of time. She will do GREAT. No doubts. There is just something in her eyes that speaks wisdom and responsibility. :)

  6. Congratulations Kaia!
I started babysitting when I was close to her age and I still love it over 10 years later. Sometimes I think, "Will I one day be 'too old' to be a babysitter?", then I smash that thought right down, because no, I will never be too old and it will never get old.
I hope Kaia enjoys it as much as I do!

I heart comments! Just one rule that I'm sure your momma taught you...if you don't have anything nice to say...please don't say anything at all!
