Sure way to get out of the funk....attend Time Out for Women with your besties! We enjoyed yummy food (because isn't it really all about the food), lots of laughter, great shopping (I scored at Marshalls), and listened to some really great speakers that uplifted my spirits, inspired me and motivated me in may ways.
The theme of the conference was "Sweet Assurance...the certainty that comes when you know life's truths." I took lots of notes, need to re-read them and then act upon them. I bought new music CDs, DVD's for Sunday family entertainment and a new book for Kaia.
"I am going to start a series on this here blog called "Things I Know". I can't wait. I am excited. A way to share my testimony of the truths that I know and how they have shaped me as a person. I will also share some of the things that inspired me and motivated me and the changes I will be making in my life, in my families life to help us grow closer to our Heavenly Father. And I will also share with you some of my sweet finds from Marshalls!
But first, pictures from our weekend (that I lovingly stole from my friend Amy's blog...thanks)!

And one more thing that would help, not necessarily in the babysitting department, but more in the "let's come home and all be on the same page" department. They need to have "Time Out for Husbands" the same weekend they have "Time Out for Women"! In fact a "Time Out for Kids" that same weekend would be great too. Surely then home would be "heaven on earth"!
Love the "acting natural" non-pose. :) What a fun group it appears to be. I think I'll create my own little Time out group...but we might meet weekly. For sanity's sake, of course.
ReplyDeleteOK - I'm going to take a little "mom" credit here. I remember the first year I paid for you to go because I knew you needed to get a taste of this type of activity. Now you're hooked and I'm so glad. Love you dearly.
