Chef's Market was fun. I sold $175 in merchandise. (1 half apron, 2 kids aprons, 4 cake plates and a handful of rings and earrings.) Not too shabby! We will do things a little differently next week. With street fair style we need to move our tables right up to the street....which will give us more room behind us for family and friends to visit instead of in front of our product. Plus more people will stop at street level then step into a booth.
I did see many smiles brought to peoples faces when they passed by my booth. Which in turn made me smile. And lots of happy comments and well wishes! Only one bad comment was heard and Kaia winked at me when it was said. Someone looked at the cake plates and said, "That is silly." Oh well....everyone else thought they were cute!
Now I'm preparing for the Handmade-Parade tomorrow at Giovanni Hall in Sacramento. Off to buy more fabric for nursing aprons for mommies of baby boys (nice suggestion from a young mom) and need better tablecloth bottoms for tables for tomorrow. Thanks so much for all your well wishes and for all of you that stopped by last night for support!

You did so well! Congratulations! I am so happy for your success. Kaitlin is still talking about seeing Kaia!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks adorable! I LOVE all of your products! If I lived there I would def be stopping by!
ReplyDeleteIt looked soooo cute April! Great job! I wish I was closer, I would have come to support and snag a cake plate!!
ReplyDeleteHow are cake plates silly? That's a strange comment. LOL I think they look fun, decorative, and would make a party pretty. Silly people. I'm happy to hear it went so well - the weather looked gorgeous too, which doesn't hurt!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! Your booth looks fabulous! Love the fabrics of your table cloths. Your merchandise was displayed beautifully!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and the pom-pom fringe. Everything looks so professional. I bet you had a great time with Kaia.
ReplyDeleteOh what a delightful stall! I wish I could have been there, everything is beautiful down to the last detail. Congrats, that is quite a haul for your first time out!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! All of that stuff looks really cute, especially the aprons! Anyone who doesn't get happy from the mere site of a cake plate has issues!
ReplyDeleteWhoo Hoo!! Congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats April! I love your set up very cute. I know I would buy more rings and a cake plate if I walked by your booth. Good luck this week, I can't wait to hear how you do.
