OOPS. PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE SHUT THE BACK CURTAINS.

So my sweet hunny came home for a working lunch today. And....well....ummm.....well...you know. The front door was locked, the front shutters were closed, the kids were at school, and the poor pest control guy probably got more than he bargained for this afternoon when he serviced our backyard and sprayed the back porch outside our sliding glass door in our family room. And I am mortified.

I looked out the kids bedroom window and noticed the pest control guy sitting in his truck filling out the paperwork....which means he HAD already serviced our property and he wasn't there when we shut the front blinds in the first place. Dave and I went and hid in our bedroom and he knocked and rang the doorbell twice for us to sign the paperwork. He knew we were home. HELLO. But there was no way in H.E. DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS I was opening that door.

Good thing we hadn't signed up with our friend Tracy's pest control service. I would have really died. Dave kept reminding me we ARE married trying to console me. I will be cancelling service in a few weeks after they are done talking about us. And going with Tracy's company......and closing the back curtains next time.

  1. HA! That is crazy. Teehee. I would have hid and not answered the door, too. But, I mean, he couldn't have expected you to answer the door if he saw that you were "busy." ;)

  2. OH your killing me, I am laughing my tush off! I would be mortified too, totally! But....I am sure that is the first time he has witnessed something like that if that makes you feel at all any better (it wouldn't me, but I am trying to help LOL). And, I don't think i would have blogged it!

Again I am laughing till my sides hurt. OH I love your blog. Believe me it would not be the first time Erin has seen anything like this. Don't be embarrassed..You should be happy that you and Dave are still in LOVE after all these years. If this tech was doing his job and not peeping in windows he would not have seen anything. I am also surprised he was spraying yesterday with all the rain(on a prof. note)

    TaTa For Now,
    Tracy

  9. And to think - I waved to Dave at the stop sign of Linda Vista and Trower at about 10:15 - he was heading home. If I knew what you had in mind David I would have given you a thumbs up!

Love, Shari (April's mom to the rest of you)

  12. I AM ON THE FLOOR IN HYSTERICS! Oh, man, this story is great!!! You should submit it to the Reader's Digest funnies section.

I'm so parenoid about open blinds. I keep telling my husband that I want to move to a place where I don't need blinds on the windows. I'd probably use them anyway!

Thanks for sharing, although I'm sure the pest-control guy didn't feel the same.

I heart comments! Just one rule that I'm sure your momma taught you...if you don't have anything nice to say...please don't say anything at all!
