NieNie {well my NieNie print}! Doesn't she complete the space nicely? I think so. This is the area of my life she has inspired me to change the most. I enjoy serving my family in the kitchen now. I love preparing healthy meals and snacks for them. Smoothies had always been a favorite of ours, but now we make them with vanilla soy milk instead of juice because of her! I wear my aprons proudly, use my cake plates to show off my new homemade muffins and my recipe box is filling with vegetarian meal ideas!
In fact tonight we are having whole wheat veggie pizzas for dinner. I will add avocado to mine and be very very thankful that she introduced me to that through her blog. It is quite delish!
May I also add that I am overflowing with love for my husband today, actually yesterday too. I'm not sure what he did, but that feeling of gratitude and love is abundant. At least it will be until he calls me on the phone and asks me to do something in the office for the business that I don't really feel like doing. Then I might be irritated! But for now.....I love him dearly and am gushing all about it!
Nie Nie looks great in your kitchen....and isn't it nice to have lovey feelings towards the hubbers....I know I relish it....before it fades....usually within hours.....sigh....
ReplyDeleteLooks great...and I know you are DONE with this subject, but I LOVE political posts. (And yours was great!) I think it's GREAT to be OPEN and learn about other's points of views, even, and ESPECIALLY if they are different from mine. Isn't that the whole point? I think women need to stop taking things so personally! And debate without getting all emotional about it...
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
I love your kitchen!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you sarted with a closeup of the picture and gradually moved out... it's very independent film!
ReplyDeleteNew reader here! *waves*
ReplyDeleteLove your kitchen!
You should definitely send a link to this post to her. What a blessing she is, to have inspired so many lives so positively. I'm sure to know that is a great strength to her right now.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your pizza with avo. YUM
Hi April! My name is Melissa Kelly DeGarmo is my sister-in-law. I have looked at your blog a few times, but have never commented. I wanted to say that I think your blog is so lovely, as is your kitchen. I am a faithful reader of CJane and NieNie. They are some of the most wonderful and inspiring women that I know of. I am so excited that NieNie is blogging again! Very nice tribute that you have that print of her in your kitchen. Have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteI think it's great that Melissa-my sister in law commented. She baked and did auctions for NieNie-to earn money and donate to her. Melissa has a big heart! I am also glad she is back blogging, and I'm so impressed by her strength. As I was doing dishes tonight, I wondered if my sisters and I could do what her sisters have done for her. Quite amazing. Any how,...you should check out some of Melissa's posts-they are great, even the political ones :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. I can almost smell your candle on the counter :)
